Do any of your trucks come with an automatic tailgate lock that actuates with the door locks? My dad's Explorer sport trac has it, but I haven't seen it on any super duties.

 

Nope. Not a factory option. It isn't that hard to add though. Just get an electric lock actuator and wire it up to the interior locks. Then attach it to the lock rod inside the tailgate. People have done it before. It's one of those things that's on the mile long list of stuff I want to add to my truck.

I was going to say that it would be an easy mod.
One thing I would do is to run it from the passenger side
or all doors unlock wire. That way your could open it
with the fob on the 2nd push.

This is what I put on mine. Power Tailgate Locks I ran the wire in wire loom up the drivers side frame along an existing wiring harness and tapped into the wires for the electric locks under the drivers door threshold. It works real good.
