48 Frame mount brake master cyl

I was looking at putting on a frame mounted brake master cyl.
My dumb quesions are how do you fill it if the cab is on?

I heard a few people talk about a trap door. But when the interior is come I didn't want to have to do that.

My other question is how do you figure out were is sits and how to cut the hoel to get the pedal in the cab.

How do you prep the floor carpet to make everything work and not tear it.

Any pictures would help alot. thanks for the help Iknow thats a lot to ask at one time.

I fabricated my own remote ss reservoir. That said, you need to use a master cylinder set up for remote. I wanted the in frame master in the interest of a really clean firewall. I am paying for that decision right now building a custom ss exhaust. It is not possible to keep the exhaust higher than the lower flange of the frame rails working around the master/booster.

Another option is to use a squeeze bottle with a tube attached to fill it from below. If you have enough room, you could use a mirror to check the level. I just mounted a booster and MC to the frame (homemade mount) and will use the stock pedal that is mounted to the crossmember and comes up through the floor. I have the cab off at the moment, but should work OK. I used a generic one and made a bracket for it. It will link to the factory pedal that is mounted to the trans crossmember and comes up through the floor.

Jon's build has a pre-made system on post #11.

I converted from the single circuit (leaking like a sieve and rebuild kit was more $$$ than a new one) to a dual circuit - left it right in the same place, use an inspection mirror and syringe to fill it.
