WTF is this??

Can someone please explain the sense it makes to lower, outfit with low pro tires, and or put a airbag kit on a 4x4 or a dually? I think I am just old fashioned but it seems like a waste of money to me. Or is this some new style that I am not up to par on?

Does this exclude Range Rovers with factory lowering systems?

Short course unlimited pro4 trucks are lowered.

What ever floats the owners boat, wait, what lowers the owners truck is

Good with me.

I qualify builds by quality and safety not on why.

well im mostly speaking off people that buy new 4x4s and then lower them...I mean y pay the extra 4k or whatever to have the 4x4 then pay more to basically make it useless? I mean wat is the function im just trying to figure the purpose of this.

Most of the time I am sure it is just for show and not for the point of being practical. 4wd is always nice in bad weather, whether it is stock, lowered or raised. I, personally, feel the same about monster lift kits on 4wd's. It is just to be different and serves no practical purpose.

I feel the same way. Idon't understand folks who buy the most capable vehicles on the planet, then doll them up to the point where they won't use them. To me a truck is a tool. I really like them and enjoy fixing and maintaining them, but I don't ever want a truck I would be afraid to use as a truck.

I agree but the lift is suppose to be for extreme off roading granted tho that about 90 percent of the ones i see like that have never even seen a dirt road...but i mean i like lowered trucks as long as the rims arent to big...but no 4x4s

I agree. Lowering a truck is counterintuitive, a huge waste of money, and eye candy for incredibly shallow people, pun intended. Just buy a car already. Don't remake an apple to look like an orange.

Well then we have to speak of the inadequacies of those that have to go higher, bigger and/or taller.

I figured it out...everything is ok in moderation...a lil lower for style and handling and a lil higher for purpose...iv leveled the front of my truck and I run a 285/75/16 mt and I can go into more places than most of the "monster trucks" because most trails r made for fourwheelers anyways and iv never had to crawl over anything so height isn't an issue

It's like going to the hardware store and buying a nail, then taking it home and filing it into a screw.

Why screw around with just "lower"? Go for a full hydraulic, high capacity, Low Rider suspension & make that "4x4 or a dually" puppy hop & dance.

Local guy has a GMC that's hilariously "lower". So low the bottom of rear bumper has caster wheels.

Not for me, but "lower" & enormous wheels, with the skinniest, Lowass Profile, tires has become an urban style.

"ur kinda missing the y to it" - IMO many proponents "understand" that "style" is reason enuff "y".

Some folks are slaves to fashion, have money burning a hole in their pocket & can't think of anything better to do with it.

You are right as it is all about appearance. With the younger generations: They have "credit" burning a hole in their pockets.
