Ancillary door locks...any decent looking ones?
I've had my '58 for all of 3 weeks now and it's been broken into twice. Who's got additional door locks that look ok? Thinking like the type you'd see on a trailer or plumber's van, but hopefully something a little less conspicuous. It ain't no show truck, so I don't care about popping a few holes in the door in the name of security.

Sorry to hear about the break ins. That is not nice in the least. I haven't seen any extra locks put on Fridges, but unless it held the door really tight, the bad guys might end up bending your door trying to get it open. Have you considered getting a very mean German Shepherd to sit in the truck?

Have you considered moving?
A three bedroom here will set you back 1800-2000 per month in rent. Then, you won't have to worry about anyone breaking into your truck, you won't be able to afford such trifles as hobbies.
Maybe try several landmines? Hook up 120 volts to the door handles at night?

I bought an inexpensive shock sensor alarm from LMC and hooked it up. Its has programmable sensitivity and gives me a little piece of mind when its parked. One time I forgot I had it armed in my garage and when I opened the door it about gave me a heart attack! I think it was only $40 or something like that.
