a tire idiot needs help with some baja MTZs

so ..Im the tire idiot here.. done all the reading I can on the forum ,and net.
biased radial metric size ratios spacing blah blah

will 285/75r16s MTZs fit my 2012 gasser ? found a real sick deal on a set

and is there a way to fit a 17" wheel on a tire with a 16" wheel diameter ?

16" rims will not fit on these trucks, alas, 16" tires will not fit.

Rim diameter and tire diameter (inside) should always match. You never want to try to cram a smaller tire onto a larger rim (nor larger tire onto smaller rim), it won't work and is unsafe.

Those rims would fit the tires, but I don't think 16" wheels will clear the brake calipers on our trucks. Ford went to 17's quite a few years back due to the larger brakes.
