Introduction: 1950 F-3
I am a 42 year old social studies teacher and lifelong car guy that has just acquired his dream truck. It is a 1950 ford f-3 with a flatbed and a flathead v-8 under the hood. I bring it home on sunday, so I can get more pics and get some more info on the truck. The truck was used in the movie Hoosiers! One of my favorite movies of all time! Here are two pics, the door graphics were added in the eighties- after the film. Garaged most of its life.
OK. I cannot see a way to upload pics, and I cannot go to a hosting site while I am at school. I can try to upload when I get home...or if someone is in a hurry I can e-mail them to them and they can post them. Either way...
Thanks
Randy

Thanks for the compliments, it is a pretty solid truck. Garaged for most of its life. I do not have footage of the truck yet. It is in two scenes, one is it parked on the street the other is it driving down the road.
My plans for the truck are to get it running and driving safely and then rebuild the flatbed. I may swap out the rear and go to disc on the front. The timeline for that really depends on the condition of the current parts. I am leaning towards returning it to its Hoosiers livery, without the door insignia.
Thanks, lots of questions coming! Thanks!

Welcome! Count me in as one of the 2500! Randy I was very excited to see another F3 flatbed... and Hoosiers is also one of my favorite movies. Just shared that movie with my twin stepsons who are playing basketball for the first time this year. I'll have to go back and watch the movie again to spot your truck. Maybe we can get our two trucks together some day. That would be a great pic!
