They are reproduced, or were, and are not very expensive. Any of the Catalog Vendors should have them.

Can't say for sure which other years, if any, will interchange.

I bought an NORS Yankee Day/Night mirror that I re-threaded to fit into the stock mirror base. They come up occasionally on the Bay.

I would not waste my time, fuel, or effort running around to salvage yards looking for a replacement that might fit. You'd likely spend more than the 50 or so dollars that a repro would cost.

Mine is from a '65 or '66. The 3 holes lined up but I had to heat and bend the stem. Found it at my favorite 'mom and pop' wrecking yard where the guys stand around the woodstove in the office. It's usually my first stop on the mainland after I get off the ferry. As one gets closer to Seattle, the wrecking yards are decidedly less fun.

Other repop sellers might, but Carpenter does not list the following: .

B7C-17700-AP .. Inside Rear View Mirror ~ 1957/60 F100/1100 / Obsolete ~ Reproduced?

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
----------------------------------------------
Edit: 1960/61 full sized Fords had an optional day/nite mirror that was also an option for 1961/66 F100/1100's.

This mirror includes the stem that has female threads and it's longer than the 'plain jane' '61/66 F100/1100 mirror. I do not know if it will work on 1957/60's.

C1AZ-17700-A .. Inside Day/Nite Mirror-Chrome / Obsolete ~ GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 4 = 800-543-4959.

I bought a reproduction one perhaps 4-5 years ago, cannot remember from whom I got it.

It was in chrome. I removed the mirror head/arm, and installed my NORS Yankee day/night mirror in its' base. Looks good, and works better than the stock mirror because it is wider. A better field of view, and no blinding at night.

Headlamps reflecting off that flat back glass is a pain in the donkey, I fixed that on my '65. Read post 4 again, I forgot something, edited it in.

LOL!
When they get home with their 5 buck mirror, will then compare it with their original and notice to their disgust, that it's just as cloudy as their original.

I think it was 4.00...... and worth every penny! I was at that junkyard again on Friday as we were doing errands on the mainland. When I heard the misses' hair appointment was gonna be 2 hours, I had to find a place to kill some time. Best 2 hours I've had in a long time. Wouldn't trade it for all the parts catalogues in china..... Oh, and there was no original. It was missing

That number is getting pretty big these days!

There's something comforting about time in a junkyard.... Sigh!!

Caution, I think there were only about eight teeth in the whole group! I will be passing by it tomorrow on a 3 day work trip over the mountain pass. We are installing a staircase we built for the new performing arts center for the city of Leavenworth Wa. In my business we work for a lot of upscale clients, and when I'm buying truck parts, I like to get real. End of hijack.......See ya on the weekend.
