I'm at it again!!! 1978 F-250 Crew Cab 4x4

Well...I'm at it again....just purchased another 78 F-250 Crew Cab Short Box 4x4...Standard Trans...400...The 400 has headers and a 4bbl carb and intake...but is partially taken apart....I still need to go pick it up...it's about 350 miles from me...and Unfortunately...I don't have a trailer to get it....trying to round up a trailer i can borrow (i won't flat tow it due to not being sure condition on tires and it has a huge winch bumper with winch on it)...If any of ya in Utah have one i could borrow...I'd love to hear from ya!!!

Here are the pics!!!

Sweet! That looks to be the same original color that my 77 was... actually doesn't look that bad at all. Congrats on the sweet find...and your expanding collection!

Great truck. Love the slotted mag wheels. Looks like the bead might be popped on the right rear. I think that tree stump is holding that corner up. Probably be a good idea to be prepared to deal with flat tires. It's hard enough to move that tonnage with 4 good tires

Nice score, if I loan you my trailer it will have to come back with that truck still on it, lol.

Are there any rental places in Utah? Like "Servall equipment rental" ect....U-haul and Penske will not have anything big enough for that truck.

Call these guys? Mountain States Trailer Inc in North Salt Lake, UT | 54 N 700 W, North Salt Lake, UT

Any local wrecker service could go get it, that way you are hassle free, it should fit on a roll back, barely. Or its time to go buy a trailer, ya think?

I got my brand new 20 Ft hauler for $2600, 8 lug axles, fold down ramps, bull dog 2 5/16 hitch, elec brakes. Working on a front elec winch attachment point, best money ever spent.

Have you put the word out in your FTE state chapter about needing to borrow a trailer?

That's exactly the kind of trailer I need to borrow....My biggest thing is cost...the cost to rent a trailer or pay someone to go get it is out of my budget...I have use of a powerstroke to pull the trailer and all i have to pay for is fuel....just need the trailer to load it on

Sell more than one and go buy yourself a good trailer. I know its hard to sell even one, but its for a good cause, in the end.

Hey FTNut--
Did you get this from the Northern NV area? I remember seeing this truck on CL. It's nice. If I hadn't bought mine in Nov, I would've gone for it.
