Trouble CodeP0306

My truck developed a misfire and this is the code that I pulled. It is a misfire on cylinder #6. I have replaced the spark plug and the coil pack. This did not fix the problem. I have been informed that the next step is to replace the ignition module. I have researched this and cannot find the ignition module in my Chilton Manual. The only thing that I can derive from the manual is that on this year of Ford F150 is that the ignition module is incorporated into the PCM. My question is would the ignition module be the next step in this process and if so do I have to replace the entire PCM?

First what year and what motor?
It makes a big difference.
And don't listen to your informant until you know what you have.
There is no igntion module.
A 306 code is not a bad PCM.
Are you sure you worked on the right cylinder?

Do a compression test on the motor. Look for damaged wire or connector.

2001 Ford F150, V8, 4.6L 4X4. Yes I am sure I worked on the right cylinder. Do you have any suggestions if it is not the ignition module or PCM?

90% of the time it is the COP.. I would pull that again and inspect. Your on #6 which is the second plug back from the front on drivers side ??

U could unhook the battery, unplug the ECU, look for a damaged connector to #6 ?
