2016 F-250 Lariat

2016 F-250 Lariat with 6.2L. Pretty much loaded. The only thing I didn't get that I wanted was cab lights.

I handed the dealer a list of 24 options / packages I wanted and 11 things / configurations I wouldn't take on a truck. He found a truck one state away with 23 of my 24 options and none of the things I didn't like.

I loved the power and the rattle of the 6.4 diesel but I grew tired of the regen cycles and the $225 oil and fuel filter changes. As the truck approached 125K miles I began to worry something expensive going wrong and decided to go back to a naturally aspirated gas motor. I moved up in boat size and no longer have any towing needs but I still prefer a 3/4 ton.

Next week it is having the 4X4 decal on the bedsides removed.

Sweet truck and it looks great, congrats! ... cab lights can leak anyways.......no offense, but they're on my "wouldn't take" list if it makes you feel any better.

I'd be interested too. Apparently FX4 package was one thing.
Two tone paint.
Snow Plow Prep.
Possibly tail gate step.

This was my list .. I didn't get the FX4 on either list, but I would have bought a FX4 if it had everything else I wanted. I realize some of them are mutually exclusive or one option would require another set of options in a package, but this is what I handed the dealer. I gave up cab lights and they had to install the bed extender today.

Nice truck. I love that color.

The decals are easy to remove yourself. I removed mine as well as the flexfuel emblem on the tailgate. Just start peeling and take your time.

I think the bed extender is the only thing I would like to have that I don't. I might still add it at some point. I have figured out that I don't care for the back up assist. The offroad screen shows what direction your front wheels are pointing, except when you are backing, which is when I have the hardest time keeping track of where they are. That screen is covered by the useless back up assist screen. Additionally, that back up assist is way too sensitive. The camera is much more useful.

Not so much wheel to wheel but maybe tighter to the body or better yet power steps...

not me, it would be too tempting to use them to reach over the side of the box to get things and scratch the box up.

BTW, nice looking truck OP.
