1979 Dana 44 8-lug caliper conversion?
Wondering if there are kits or brackets available to convert the disc brake setup on my Dana 44 to the chevy style calipers. I think the caliper brackets that ford used were a poor design and chevy stuff is so much cheaper. One of my caliper brackets is also busted and has been welded up and even with new tensioning springs is still a little loose. Looking to do something similar to a rear dana 60 or 14 bolt disc brake swap. Any Ideas or input? Thanks.

I am unaware of a conversion kit for the front end. Chevy d44s used a different bolt pattern for there spindles
And caliper brackets, so you couldn't just bolt up the chevy stuff. I would just go find another caliper bracket in a junkyard, but some other fellows might have better input than me on this one.
