Are you aware that it is inside the fuel tank? You will need to drop the tank, or lift the bed, and you will find a large plastic nut. Remove that and the fuel pump and level sensor will pull out the top.

What is the best way? Box off. Or tank drop method?

i just replaced my pump several weeks ago...fairly easy...on mine I first removed the skid plate...or I should say first I siphoned all the gas from tank...then disconnect the fuel filler hose...then undo the straps holding up tank...I was able to lower front of tank to ground while disconnecting everything...you`ll need a tool to disconnect fuel lines...on mine a little vent hose or something at rear of tank was hardest to get to...once the tank is out remove the large plastic cap on top there is tool but I used a large pair of channel locks...the pump will lift straight up and out just press the tabs together at top...definitely lower tank rather than removing bed...took me several hours I could probaly do it in a hour now having done it once...hope this helps

Can I use the same tool that I use to change the fuel filter to take the lines off the top of the pump. Looks like a coller tool with a slit down side to get on lines. Just checking.
