Fenderwell headers

Hey guys im trying to figure out what i want to do with my headers. Im gonna be running a 429 from a 71 country squire wagon in my 49 f1. Itll hopefully have around 450 hp. I am going to use a mustang 2 with a manual rack. Im worried about clearance for the steering linkage so i thought that going outside the frame rails would give more clearance. I know that nobody make a set of headers for this specifically, but how hard is it to modify a set of headers?

I feel like something like this would get me close and then i could modify it slightly to get it to work. Thoughts?

I am using a similar set of Sandersons FF461-P on my 55 with a 429and Mustang II frontend and have no clearance issues. I got to the steering with minimal u-joints and got pipes bend to fit around the C-6.

Ive seen those and thought about using them. One reason that has me leaning toward fenderwell headers is because i want to run a side exit exhaust though the running boards. It would be really simple to run the rest of the exhaust under the running board and not have to worry about getting around the transmission or anything else that gets in the way.
