Anyone that is or has run with water methanol injection: Input please

So if you are or have run with water methanol injection
What did you think,
Did you like it or not and why.
Did it do what they said it would?

Thanks

I've read enough that I wouldn't run water/meth. Straight water has proven to be relatively safe for EGT reduction. Adding enough washer fluid to notice a performance difference seems to cause problems with 6.0's.

When I worked at a Kia dealership I saw a motor with 80,0000 miles on it that never had the oil changed. It looked like someone poured hot fudge in it and it solidified.

So the operator was using the meth injection to cool his EGT while hauling up a hill for example?

Well that sucks. I could see a drag racer using this method and knowing the consequences, but damn...

High performance aircraft engines used water methanol injection (ADI fluid) when high power settings were required. This prevented detonation in the cylinders. Those high power settings were time limited and only used for take off and short periods in combat. On some planes there was a war emergency power setting - very short duration.

Allied aircraft and German aircraft used these systems

Cheezit,
Did you ever find the photos? I would like to hear more details.
Also the statement that the 6.0 does not like is not very informative.
So please post more of what happened.

Thanks
Sean
