Found vacuum line hanging under truck ?

Found vacuum line hanging under truck ?

I noticed a vacuum line hanging under my 98 F 150 4x4 I traced it out to my front axle question is where does the other end go I have looked but no luck to where it goes.If someone has a answer that would be great thanks.

Could it be the vent hose.Where does it attach on the axle ? At the wheel end, center ,ect .

My guess is it's the front axle actuator vacuum supply or the disengagment hose..
Bet your 4x4 does not work without it.

Looks like it is coming from the center i think from the front axle actuator vacuum assembly it is attached to the actuator but hanging down. The hose is about 2.5 feet long give or take a few inches.

two small hoses connect to the vacuum cylinder on the axle pumpkin. This engages the 4 x 4. Hoses run toward the pasenger fender and up that toward the hood. Hoses route to the left side of the truck--- firewall--- by the brake booster. YOu see two vacuum solenoids. When you turn the **** on the dash, these two solenoids engage- disengage, and send vacuum to the axle.
