This weekend, my AOD in my 91 F150 started slipping and I have burnt fluid. Can this transmission be swapped out for an E4OD easily or am I best to stay with the AOD?
The E4OD is controlled by the computer, but the AOD is purely mechanical. If you swap to the Electronic, you'll have to buy a computer (~$180 reman) and do PLENTY of wiring. It's also the longest auto, so you'll have to cut your d'shafts.
