Homemade labels always were an issue with my 06.

If you slap the dash above the CD player it will spit out sometimes.. I switched to a blue tooth deck with the stealth box in the jump seat.. Its pretty rad!

I took the cover off and watched the CD unit work. The problem is when you put the CD in the unit it should grab the CD and load it to the desired location. It does not grab it, you must push it in the entire way. Once loaded it will play. When you hit eject it gets set in the location to eject but nothing pushes it out. So the problem is the load and unload.

Any ideas? Does anyone refurbish them? I didn't see any gear problems or jammed labels. It seems to be component failure.

Thanks!

It's a Ford CD player. I worked on my daughters countless times to get it to play. You're better off getting an aftermarket unit to replace it. Direct fit CD players are cheap now.
