Originally, all '61 thru '66 painted pickup grilles were not "all white", they all had black trim paint to compliment the grill design. Additionally, the radiator supports were all black to give the front end more depth. These details are lost after a few decades of weathering or repaints. Old saying goes " the devil is in the details".

Yeah, I'd seen that posted in other thread. Appreciate it, but not gonna worry about it. Plenty of other bigger details I missed, lol.

Finally went through this entire thread, and wow! Great work. My '64 F100 CrewCab is the same color, great to see another one out there.

The only piece of advice I can give is about the cowl openings. I went to a sign shop and obtained some of that magnetic sign material. I cut the pieces to fit over the openings and leave them there unless I plan on using the vent. Keeps the pine needles out, but still lets rain water run in there and out through the drain.

One of these days, one of these days....

I always notice right away when the rad support area is painted body color, especially lighter colors. It's always been a personal preference of mine that these areas be painted flat or satin black, but hey to each his own.

Momma helped me drop the bed and bolt her up. Then put the bumper on. Just need to wire up the tail lights and eventually get to the tailgate.
