Looking for anyone that has installed the Boss Intake on a 5.0L and whether it made a significant difference in the response.

Thanks for the info. It was very informative and helped me decide that the intake it probably not the direction I want to go. Looks like I need to save my money for a Roush Supercharger.

 

If you're talking about throttle response, you may want to look into a tuner. The throttle response is artificially limited by the computer.

 

Would you any suggestions or experience in a particular brand?

 

Mike at 5 star tuning is a site sponsor. I have heard great things about it. Id start there. His tunes seem to be the hot thing for ford trucks.

They are one of the premier tuners for Mustangs and F150's with the 5.0. They have years of experience and are very highly regarded in the Mustang performance community. I know they have done 100's of F150's as well. I have their custom tune in my Mustang and would go directly to them if I had the 5.0 in my F150. Give them a call and talk to Jim Jr. He he will answer all you questions and can help you if you only want a new improved performance tune or if you want to go whole hog with a CAI, supercharger and exhaust.

 

me and my brother both use his tuner on our 5.0s. really helped with response time and torque.

He actually sells a complete tuner, boss intake, cold air kit all together. Also a tuner/cold air kit. Or everything separately. Choice is your really but I have no complaints with the 5star tunes
