Classic Pick Up trucks-vintage vehicle shows in the future ?
Interesting article.
Classic Trucks Draw Attention at Auctions - PickupTrucks.com News
It led me to thinking what will the vintage vehicle show of the future be like .
I go to a lot of vintage car shows...always enjoy seeing the restos of stock classic vehicles and hot rodded vintage vehicles.
Generally of course, the majority of vintage vehicles at these shows are cars....with some trucks and motorcycles also in attendance.
Now in all probability I won't be around in 30-40 years to see the car shows of the future, as I'm no spring chicken.
I do wonder though whether car shows then, will feature a much heavier percentage of current pickups and SUV's in the mix then cars of this present era...due to the fact that there is a higher % of pickups driven now....then 40-50 years ago. Back 40-50 years ago most pickups were bought for work, now although many are still primarily work vehicles, many are bought just to serve as daily drivers.
In fact I wouldn't mind having a P/U just as my daily driver....but...dang it...when will Buick make one !!
