Hey Rusted,
That engine looks great in there! You may have already said but what engine is that? Is it EFI? Keep that momentum going!

Thanks Gents,

It's a Coyote engine.....There will be some minor fit problems.....The steering linkage will be
interesting, and the firewall will have to be opened up a bit. I've already ordered
the remote oil filter adaptor. The fun continues!

Did you steal the motor mounts out of a Sherman tank? No worries about the engine falling out!

BC, eh? Anywhere near Grand Forks?

I figure it's got enough torque that I needed to make it strong.....
A little is good, so a lot is better theory. Not too close to Grand Forks, I'm
in Kamloops, the truck is in Oliver, at my Dad's place. I try to get down once
every week or two to get something done, and it keeps the old man busy.

Very nice looking build. One suggestion mock up every thing you can before permanent mounting.

Hey Rusted, I was going to mount my Coyote this weekend. Is the interfernece with the firewall from the Block or from the TKO? Is the back shifter location the correct one? I have not put my cab back on yet, but my measurements with everything apart did not show I was going to have interference. Of course I am running a different cross-member and motor mounts.

The problem is with the block, it sticks back a bit too far. I haven't cut out the firewall
yet, so I'm not sure where the shifter will sit yet, but from just eyeballing it, looks like it shouldn't be too far off......

I could maybe get it to go forward another inch or so, but it's not going to save me cutting
the firewall, and it sits nicely where it is, so I decided not to mess with it.

Thanks, we did not get far enough to get the Cab back on to see if we have interference yet. Sounds like I need to plan for that. Glad I had not plugged too many of those holes yet. Looks like I will have to get the remote Oil filter as well, the rack is going to make changing that filter a nightmare.

Well atleast with that TKO you have multiple shifter locations to choose from.
Or you could go bucket seats with a shorter shifter and let the shifter stay inbetween the seats.
The best part is you have options. So you can choose what you want to do.
Im also curious why you chose to not box the frame.

I've ordered the remote filter as well, the filter wants to sit right on top of the rack, and
they're not overly expensive. I probably would have ordered it anyway, just for cleanliness. I hate making a mess with oil running all over everything every time you do
an oil change.

As for the frame boxing, there's two schools of thought on that one, has been covered extensively here. It's hard to see from these photos, but it is boxed for about three feet
where the crossmember is welded to the frame.

I boxed mine based on the 600 RWHP I intend to run.
