Do you know a shop specializing in having this setup experience?

The explanations are so complete. Probably will take a weekend to complete ... probably more for my first time.

Did a local quick search on Craigslist and seems the best price for a used front Dana 60 is $1200 and it is not complete. Ouch !

Found front/rear 2005 F350 Stock Axles off a 2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty 4x4 all for a grand.

3.73 Gearing

Front Axle is set up for coil springs.

Front Axle: Dana 60
Rear Axle: Sterling 10.5

What do you think ... not gonna match up?
so... The 05+ axle swap is among the best. But ... You will need all the suspention components (springs, tie rods, etc) and frame mounts. You will also need 17" (min) superduty wheels because the brakes are bigger and the bolt pattern changed in 99.

there are a couple of really good writeups on the swap.

Will this conversion require any fabrication?

Yes, you need to weld in the track bar bracket and modify the radius arm brackets slightly

The '05 WILL NOT work!!! Well it could but not without quite a bit of fab work and different wheels. HAS to be 85.5 to 97!!

Dana 60 mono beam front AXLE. For your truck an upgrade. You will also need leaf springs, track bar and track bar mount, and the Tie Rods for the MONO BEAM.

Dana 50 WISHBONE P.O.S. what you had that broke.

Even if you got that 05 axle in your truck it would be a downgrade due "Lifetime Wheel Bearings" and plastic hubs they aren't very good I would rather the "Wishbone" Dana 50. Not sure who's lifetime the wheel bearings are supposed to live, maybe a dog??
