TK5 Trans Shifter

TK5 Trans Shifter
Hi, this will hopefully be just a simple question.
I went to a junkyard the other day to grab a new shifter assembly for my 83 ranger. I found a 5 speed 87 that I was going to try to pull the shift assembly out of, but the junkyard closed on me before I could go grad my metric socket set (I brought standards...) UGH!
So my question is this: before I drive all the way across town to the junkyard again, was I looking at the right part? My truck is in the shop, so I can't get to the shifter on it to compare. I was expecting to see a plastic piece like this under the boot: http://cobratransmission.com/images/...ts%20cheap.JPG
Instead I saw a metal plate with four bolts.
Is this plastic piece under the metal plate? Or do I have the wrong kind of shifter all-together?
