After towing a loaded trailer all day...

lol with a 460 and 4.10s I don't even notice the 12k concrete pump when i'm getting it moving. I do however notice it when I need to slow down suddenly whenever someone cuts me off and slams on their brakes.
I do notice after I drop the pump off at the yard for the day I suddenly have the ability to stop so much better!

I'd say depends on the pickup. Considering that Diesel Brad utilizes a 1980 and a 1996 F350 (according to his sig), it's not unreasonable to think that most vans are lighter than his pickups.
But yes, I get that feeling too.
What really gets me, is when I've been mowing my lawn, then I jump right into my pickup to run an errand- feels like I grew about 10 feet or so.

I bet. It's amazing how much more confident you are with the vehicle after you've dumped the load. Suddenly you're like, "This thing doesn't handle so bad after all!"
I will say I was impressed with how well the engine kept it's cool when pulling a load. Even with some of the long up-hills, where the engine was fully loaded up, the temp gauge barely moved.
