I know this is a no no but I need to figure out some specs on the 302 out of my 1979. It is just a stock engine so far down to the 2 barrel carb and intake.

I want to know the basic hp and torque specs,
lift and duration on the stock cam,
will all the normal carbed heads fit this block? Are the gt40s bolt on? Or e7s?

Looking to swap it into a 90 Ranger and want to get a good grasp on the power I can get with a basic build. No crazy numbers.

Cam, intake and carb and maybe a set of gt40s.


Any info on it wouldbe great. Thanks in advance.

Searching wasnt any help. The trucks cam with too many engine s to get good info.

 

I can't help other than suggest you go to the "Performance , Engines & Trouble shooting " forums here on FTE and bring up the small block engines.
