Navigator liftgate, can I change open limit?

I have 2013 Navigator. When I have it in my garage, I cannot pull in enough to open the liftgate completely. If I open, it hits the bottom of my garage door, reverses and closes. I would like to do 1 of 2 things. 1) lower the heigth it opens so it does not hit the garage door or 2) completely disable the autonatic lift/open and use the door manually. Note, disabling lifgtate in the console does not do what I need. Any suggestions? I can not load the back of my truck when it is in the garage.

I think you're going to have to disable the power lift. I have the same thing on my 2012 King Ranch Expy and I've not found anything in the manual about that. I had a 2009 Enclave with the power lift and there was no adjustment for it either.
