Yet Another Issue w/ The E40D, HELP PLS!

Man that drives me nuts... when something starts working before you can figure out why it quit in the first place. Leaves me feeling that it may or may not fail again. Pull codes as suggested above, not all codes will cause the engine light to come on. Don't wait for someone to do it for you, learn to do it yourself and you'll be that much more knowledgeable about your truck.
Prindle switch... lol. Only time I've ever heard that was from a Turdyota mechanic. everyone else calls it an Manual Level Position Sensor or Transmission Range sensor, the parts store calls it a Neutral Safety Switch but I don't like buying electrical parts from the usual parts places.

I had the codes read and there were none? They say the readers for the OBD I doesn't really give codes for the trans but I would have thought it would for any other electrical issue, is it possible the repairs cleared what ever was there? Any way drove it to alabama today to deer camp (the scene of the crime) and no problems so by the grace of god and a lil luck we wont have any more problems, I do appreciate all of ya'll and your expertise (advice) I will try to return the favor someday as I learn more about this truck. But Thax Again and GOD BLESS!

Just thought I would share the weather here in alabama today a balmy 69 degrees and overcast, we call this Gentlemans Hunting, I grew up in New England and we did all our Huntin in Vermont and Maine (gotta kill a couple of um to equal one up there) but the season runs from Oct 15th (archery, guns start weekend b4 thanksgiving) to Jan 31st and I wouldn't go back for all the money in Obamas Closet. Anyway God Bless the South and GOD BLESS all of you! Enjoy the view from where ever you are, especailly the seat of that FORD!can't add a pic from my android but I will when I get back to my computor its a tough gig.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) also controls and monitors the transmission if it is an electronic controlled version like an E4OD or 4R70W.
