457.XXX on the truck now! Spent $14,000 on it .
The truck was hydro-locked before and didn't want to start.
Have everything almost everything new in the truck done....
Now my truck will not crank or turn over at all.
I have changes the alternator and starter and the batteries are good, When i turn the key over the truck makes a grinding sound like something inside is grinding. No crank or anything.
Please help! I don't got the money right now to fix it or take it to a shop, I need the truck for work, or i'll get fired. I've worked there for 6 years now, and that's the only job that brings me enough money.
Thanks

The only information I could understand out of the post quoted above, is the mileage (miles or kilometers?), the dollar amount spent on the truck(for the purchase or repairs? total spent on a recent repair? if so what repairs?), and the fact that the engine sustained a hydrolock failure. What did it hydrolock on, fuel, coolant or engine oil? Please be as specific as possible regarding the type of failure this engine sustained.
...... and what happens when you attempt to turn the engine over by hand? What I mean by this is, when using a johnson bar with an 18mm socket trying to spin the engine over by hand from the crank pulley. Does the engine turn over freely?

When you say it just "grinds", do you mean the starter drive just jams up on the flexplate ring gear when you attempt to start the engine? If so, it sounds like you've locked up the engine some how. How, is what remains to be determined. Did you see any white smoke exiting the tailpipe as the engine began to shake badly and knock?
