Whats the truck book at...is 6500 a hard # I`d put it at 7500 then throw in the better tires if they come with 6500...on a side not your coolant level appears low in picture I would`nt give them any obvious thing to pick at...as a buyer the book value is what I would be looking at

KBB has it listed at $8185 in fair condition. It's certainly in less than fair condition with the amount of rust and the truck bed. It would cost someone at least 1500 - 2000 to fix it. I'm not sure it's worth it - definitely not to me anyway. Besides ... I'm thinking whoever buys this is going to use it as a truck, and not as a show piece.

Nope ... Completely negotiable (as always)

Hmmm .. You think the factory tires and wheels would be better? ... oops, never mind ... I understand! (light bulb just came on)

where I am $6500 for a 2002 super duty 4x4 V10 running is a good price that is with the damage (I am in a work truck area). But the damage might end up turning people away faster they might figure to many problems to deal with especially on a newer vehicle.

Just recently sold my 1999 Cherokee, nice machines.
I'd remove it from your add, you may be giving them other ideas, lol

Personally, around here, I don't think you could get that much.
I realize all the work you put in, but with the body in that shape,
I'd say your 1000 to 1500, off the mark. Sorry, you did say good or bad.

Awesome comments and advice. All of you have echoed my thoughts almost exactly. My original posting said OBO, but I removed it because people weren't even considering the $6500.00 mark.

Also, I was talking to my buddy last night, and I think I'm going to have the D/S door painted this week. I'm hoping it'll cost about $300, but it will give a better presentation; which will put people moire at ease. THANK YOU ALL!

im gunna be flat out honest and say with the sheer amount of damage that truck is just about unsellable unless your gunna give it away.

basicly every panel needs work, the center console is missing and why do the door trim panels looks like they have been painted ?

I didn't think the truck was that bad...

After reading the posts, before I looked at the ad and pics, I thought I was gonna see a totaled truck. Most of the damage just isn't that bad (for all the carrying on about damage). The D/S bed damage is the only serious fubar that needs attention. I wouldn't waste time painting the D/S door unless you can reskin the bed on that side and paint it too. Maybe your buddy can reskin and paint the bed and paint the door at the same time?

At least provide a link to the cost of a new rear skin for prospective buyer to get idea of $ for repair.

Is the bed floor steel bent up too, or just the fender?

Maybe remind prospective buyers that a "new" truck is $40K (+), and they don't make the V10 anymore...

My thoughts exactly, I wonder how those seats look under those covers.. FWIW In my area that truck would bring 2,500-3,000. 200k miles won't help either. Im not trying to be "that guy" but I'm being honest.

Hmmm ... That's a lot food for thought. And I am grateful for it.

- The door panels were painted. I was experimenting. and wanted a darker interior without the cost of buying new door panels. Maybe that was a mistake on my part.
- The center seat was removed because I wanted space for the obligatory drink cooler. .... water of course
- The seats are in great shape. I'll upload a pic of them removed, or at least pulled back.

- "Unsaleable" ... Hopefully someone out there has a need for a vehicle like this.

Thanks guys (or gals)!

You have to remember, not everyone can be and/or is as picky as we may be. Someone just may need a truck and yours fits their bill, regardless of the dents. Everyone fender on my 2000 had dents and the things was rusted to heck and I sold it 2 years ago for around $8k (can't remember how much exactly but it was close to that)...

I say leave the ad as is, if you get bites, great, if not, drop the price...

I guess it all depends on your area, Near me I just saw an 05 XLT Ext cab with 102,000 on it going for 4900. Around the Chicago area they are usually a dime a dozen. I sold my 00 F350 CC LB V10 with a piston slap 160k miles for 2800.00. It looks like for a new bed and to have the door pained someone could make a good work truck out of it still. Maybe find a service box for it! Around here XLT service body trucks are hard to find cheap.

I spent about 2 months looking for my CC V10. I looked at a lot of trucks. Around here that would be in the 2000-3000 range.

I passed on a 99 with 205k that looked great, but had rust under the cab and a miss in OD for $4300.

I gave $9000 for the 2002 CC SB I ended up with. Clean inside and out, clean car fax, new exhaust studs done at ford, everything works, new tires, runs perfect, 90k on it with a cold air kit, exhaust and roll up tonneau on it.
