5 speed trucks! 94 f250 clutch pedal housing wearingout
Got zf5 in a 94 f250 7.3 the pedal in the truck is getting sloppy. I looked up there and the pedal connects to a rod that runs thru the housing to the right, towards the gas pedal, then pushes on the rod to the master cyl i suppose. Anyway all the bushings are wore and the pedal is gettin sloppy and has lots of play. Not disengaging all the wY. Any advise? Im sure this whole set up from ford is way expensive. And tryin to find a junkyard 5 speed of my truck is not gonna be easy either. Might be my only option. Anyone?

The bushing set is still available from Ford. Brake and Clutch Pedal Shaft Bushings: F3TZ-2C342-A.
Also the bushing that goes in the clutch pushrod is available. Clutch Lever Bushing: E69Z-7526-A
Also, you will likely find that if the pedal shaft bushings are bad (and have been that way for long) the holes in the metal bracket will be worn and oval'ed. So when you put your new bushing setup in, they will wear out very quick. If this is the case, you can order a whole new bracket and pedals still from Ford. 92-97 Clutch/Brake Pedal Bracket: F3TZ-2455-A
Search these part numbers online for ordering.

I have an 89 F-150 with a four speed in it...I believe we have the same bracket for the pedals. Mine literally snapped in half one day, after acting sloppy for a little while. I replaced it with a junk yard bracket, and now after about a year the pedal gets sloppy about once a week now, its really weird. I'll look for the bushings as well.

Right, and then go to page 22 as you suggested. Looks like the after-market part# he needs is F-2471-2 for $6.48, keeping in mind that '94 is a change-over year for that part.
Looks like Ford realized they had a weak link and upgraded the manual pedal cluster to use the bushing from the A/T pedal cluster starting in '94.

He was suggesting the closest parts supply that was also an FTE Sponsor. Tasca is over here in RI, and does not sponsor FTE.

i have this problem in my 1989 f250 4 speed as well. i am so glad i found this site before i started changing master/slave/clutch ... ... unless i am mistaken there are 2 different pedal brackets used for manual transmission trucks of this generation ... 1 is aluminum and the other version is steel . please correct me if i am wrong there. my bracket is made of aluminum. i grabbed one from the wreckers just in case the holes have been ovalled. my question is : are the bushing kits the same for both aluminum AND steel brackets ?
thank you.
oops ... i think kawamatt has already answered my question. does anyone have the part number for the bushing kit in my 1989 application ?
