Nope. About a foot in diameter, and an inch thick, and the ring is about an inch and a half wide. I can hold it in one hand.......

I took the crane apart last Tues, but didn't take any pics. When the new bearing comes in, I'll post some pics of it going back together.

 

my dad told me about the bearing that the 5 inch 38 gun mount used to swivel on was rather large. The old light house Freznel lenses used to turn on a ring of liquid mercury.

It sad that people can't figure out if they are a pain in the @$$ that they will get the boot. Some people never learn, if you leave people alone and give them the respect and privacy that they all want and deserve that thing work so much better.

Looks like it might be a half way decent day over here. Light overcast, but no rain and I don't suspect any is coming as Dan has his crew on the roof next door reroofing. Dan seems to be able to predict rain better than the weather guessers.

 

Well, it's been fun guys, but time for Harley and I to head to the shop. We need to rip some planking today for our roof project. Have a great day!
