1996 BRONCO ENGINE INSTALL QUESTIONS

Installing 351w into my 96 bronco with e4od but having issues connecting the two. I have motor on motor mounts and still about an inch away from transmission. The dowels on motor are aligned with transmission but cannot connect the two. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Note: Is the TC supposed to spin freely installed on transmission? Right now I can TC and not sure if this is correct or does TC need to be seated further?

Check the TQ! Make shure it is seated all the way into the transmission!
Very important!

Is there any way to tell when TC is seated correctly?
Thanks.

Torque Convertor bolts?

Did you line up the TQ bolts to the flex plate? I had the same problem doing a trans install!

Check the first part of this video. Hope this helps or at least shines some light on your problem!

Will have to pull motor back out again and check if TC is seated correctly. I know for sure it spins freely and that might be a sign it is not installed right.

Also in video how did u spin flywheel or flexplate so easily to align TC bolts?

Thanks.

Where are the studs for the motor mounts? Have they gotten caught up on the crossmember or mount towers? You may have lowered them into a bind. A long mirror on a stick and a flashlight can really help you see where its hanging up.
