My '53 Build

Hey yall,
I am starting on my 4th project now a '53. I bought a '56 when I was 12, a '71 when I was 16, a '73 Bronco when I was 19, and now a '53.

This one is pretty rough so I am going for the rat rod style rather than a restoration/show truck.

I got this rig for $250 delivered to my house so not a bad deal!

I don't have a picture of the '56 but here is the '71 and the Bronco

And some progress I've made. I got the bed taken all the way apart and the doors off. I am doing a 5.5" chop and keeping the fullsize rear window, pie cut the hood, 3" wider rear fenders, shave and fill everything. Here's a couple pics...

It looks like the pile I started with. But looking at the other pictures you should be able to do it. Mine was in close to the same shape and I just got it to a roller. Just keep at it. I keep telling myself If it was easy everybody would have one!

I'm looking at this on my phone, the phone app does not show me your location..... Where you at? I have a extra cab in north Mississippi with a really good top/roof on it that I'm not planning on using.

Layed Out 100 I am in Cookeville, TN... Middle TN right of I-40.

Did some more work today on the door just have to finish filling in the handle holes and mirror hole and do the inside and it will be ready. Got the fender back on the bedside and am going to add some steel to the bottom of the bedsides. Here is a couple pics...
