MC 2150 Carb Rebuild

Howdy all. I am in the process of rebuilding the carb in my '83 F-150 with a 351W. As luck would have it the PO decided to take the ID tag for the carb off so I am left with trying to figure out which of the 12 rebuild kits available for this application to use. So far all I know for sure is that the carb is a MC 2150 and the venturi size is 1.21. The right front mounting foot has 8 5WEA stamped on it. The jet size is 54F. Help please!! Thanks.

Without the tag, there's not much you can do to narrow it down. Chances are though that of those 12, several are the same kit, but just different manufacturers or brands (assuming you're doing this at Rock Auto or O'Reilly's, etc). Narrow your selection to a single brand and there will likely be a lot fewer to choose from. From those, try to understand what the differences are. Getting the kit from Napa may be your best bet, as they'll have fewer brands to choose from, and will likely be able to able to furnish more information about what each kit is for.
