Well, picked up a 2008 6.4 Lariat a few weeks ago and am truly broken hearted to discover that it appears York P.I. is out of business? ...or, at a minimum, no longer producing "Load Lok" bedliners.

I've searched several forums and all I've found is a few posts where someone is asking the same thing I am here, does anyone know if this is the fact -or- have they the same product under a different name now?

I've had a Load Lok bedliner in EVERY truck I've owned, since my S10 when I was in the Navy (now that's a LONG time ago!) I wind up hauling all sorts of engines/transmissions and other parts, being that I'm in the racing business. These bedliners were a Godsend to me.

Anyway, before I waste too much time crying...does anyone know of a comparable product with the deep 2 x 4 locking slots/channels that I might find myself becoming fond of? Your help is very appreciated.

By the way, have already had the Cruise Control issue and ordered the master cyl. brake pedal control switch thingey, it came in this AM - so I may go out in the cold rain and figure this out...thanks to this forum, I hope I ordered the right part!

Why not just use some 2x4's in the bed of the truck. I think there are already some slots there for them.

Have not paid much attention really.

Yeah, I have the right part for the CC fix...just need to swap it out.

Back onto bedliners, Senix, the meager factory slots for 2 x 4s are in no way shape or form up to the task of holding anything back, they're more for putting a prehung door or a sheet of plywood on for transport. The slots in a York Load Lok bedliner are very pronounced and made to hold heavy loads from shifting.

I'm looking for a nice under the rail bedliner that is up to the task that a Load Lok was.

The one the truck came with does as well, but they're NOWHERE near what a Load Lok offers.

Being that it's apparent the York Load Lok bedliners are NLA, does anyone know of a similar design or a company that's picked up the design under a different name/model??

Thanks for any assistance you can offer, love the new truck but afraid to haul any heavy items in it until I get a viable solution.

 

Unfortunately they are out of business. Something to do with a patent fight with another manufacturer & they don't make it either.

No one can truly understand the utility of these bedliners unless you've used one - like you they're all I've ever owned and that was based on a friend that had one before I ever got my first truck. Ive had several & Its the first thing I do to any truck I get. The upper set of slots is nearly if not more useful than the lower slots. I recently cracked my very, very heavily used one & like you figured it was time for a new one & that I'd just be able to go get a new one.

So I started scouring craigslist and I found one (we happen to be near where they were made so they may be more prevalent in this area). I was so excited I didn't even ask if it was over or under the rail. I need under rail and of course it was over the rail, but it was in like new condition and for $50 I bought it anyway. Still looking for an under rail.
