Don, hot water baseboard or whatever variation is a nice heat. We were originally looking at putting under floor radiant heat in the house, but it was a bit on the pricey side. Forced hot air is okay (that is what we have) but for my wife's allergies, we really need to make sure that the duct work gets vaccumed out really good at the beginning of the heating season. As Shaun mentioned, one advantage is the ability to add central air.
