F350 Diesel 05 doesn't want to start HELP PLEASE
Hi, everybody wish y'all had a wonderful X-mas a happy new year . My husband had a little problem with his 05 F350 truck. He works night shifts and usually leaves the job site at 6:30 am. Like any other day he started his truck, parked it in the driveway and went to bed; when it was time to go back to work around 4:30pm the truck did not want to start. When he started sounds like want to start but that's it. We live in OKC and the weather right now is between 20's and 40's. He just bought this truck 7 months ago and we still making payments =( we are pretty scared because we are praying this is not something mayor . Could anyone help us please? Somebody told us that might be the fuel filters but we don't have a clue. If you want you can email your coments at mar74per@gmail.com Once again, thank you so much!!!

Ayleen, you will need to supply us with a lot more information if you hope to receive any response that's going to be of any use to you, in determining the issue with your's/your husband's truck. Just by virtue of the fact you mention it "want's" to start tells me right off the bat we can eliminate high pressure oil system issues as well as CMP and CKP synchronization issues (that's cam sensor and crank sensor inputs in case you're wondering), since the PCM (that's Powertrain Control Module) is definitely commanding the injectors to fire when your husband attempts to start the engine. That said, possible causes of your present issue MAY be, either one or more of the following: a failing FICM (Fuel Injector Control Module), low/no fuel pressure (possibly due to failed fuel pump or ran out of fuel), non-firing injector(s).
Again, the more information you can provide pertaining to DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes) retrieved if your truck was scanned, mileage, maintenance history, unusual driveability symptoms (if any) will help more. If I had to GUESS, I was say a failing/failed FICM is likely the cause of your issue. But remember, it is only a GUESS.
