1" higher front coil springs. Need to modify beams?
My '68 F-250 Camper Special sits a lot higher in the rear than up front.
I do think the coil springs are a little tired and I'm thinking of replacing them.
I'm sure a set of new heavy duty standard height springs would help but I see that 1" higher springs are available and would like to level it up a little, specially since it rolls on large 235/85-16 tires.
I know the beams need to be modified to keep the camber right when raising the suspension but I'm kind of hoping 1 tiny inch will not affect it that much.
Does anyone know if I need to modify the beams with only 1" raise?

Depends on if you want to buy tires soon than normal.....
Short answer yes
Long answer really depends on your truck and if the beams are stock or if they have been tweaked intentionally or by an accident. You can also find a shop that can do an alignment for I beams to compensate for the slight angle the one inch will create

Thanks for the answers guys. You are both confirming what I thougt..
I know that the car is supposed to have rake and I am aware that the beams need to be bent when the car is raised. I was just hoping that 1" higher wasn't enough to affect the angle noticeably..
Guess I'll just go with a set of heavy duty standard height springs, at least it will be back to original height.
Would you recommend standard replacement or heavy duty springs?
I don't mind if the ride is a little stiff and I'm thinking that since the F-250 weighs more than an F-100 and it also has a FE engine that the heavy duty version will be a good choice.
