Check the fuel pump shut-off switch located in the passenger's foot well by the kick panel.
Check the fuel pump relay in the power distribution box under the hood, relay 301 on a 2001, don't know if it is the same on yours. Also check for a loose contact to the relay.

Check fuses F19, F24, & F30 under the hood along with the PCM Power and Fuel Pump relays, all under the hood. Keep in mind that the fuel pump is turned on by the PCM, so it is necessary that the PCM is properly powered and operating before the pump can be turned on. If the MIL comes on when the ignition is switched to ON, the PCM is at least receiving power.

...and fix your CAPS LOCK key, it appears to be stuck in the ON position.

Under the dash, passenger side, remove the kick panel and you can't miss it.

Regarding the fuel pump, you just assumed it was the pump without really diagnosing the problem. Your old pump could've been good and the whole problem was just a loss of power to the pump the whole time.
