99 5.4L motor in a 2000? Please Help!

Yes, hello and thanks for the help guys! I picked up a 2000 F150 with the 5.4L motor. I have done research and have found that technically the 99 and the 2000 are different and not compatible. However, when trying to determine what the difference is, I kept reading opinions that I could drop a 99 motor into my 2000 with minimal alterations. I have access to a more affordable 99 motor and was wondering the major differences! If anyone around here could help me, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks very much!

Hmm. I don't know why my information says there is a difference. Well the interchange list does make these mistakes sometimes. Maybe the intake manifolds?
