Hoping someone can help with wiring. Got a 52 F1 that has 82k very nice original. Had I-6 but I did'nt want that so it has a 54 Merc 256 y block now. Previous owner had put in some kind of chevy alternator(37 amp, what a waste of time). At upull it I found an Autolite 75 amp alternator + reg.off a 79 F-250. Are any wiring diagrams available online or any other place I could find one. I can wire it just need a diagram. Thanks Rich

 

A one wire Delco Alt is the easiest thing to use Bud. I use them on all my builds so far without any problems other than fabbing mounts.

 

Do not believe the miles shown on the odometer as it reads to 99,999.9 then returns to ZERO!

 

Thanks guys, one, I don't like the one wire alternators and how they have to spool up a little before they start, two finding a just rebuilt 75amp. autolite and near new regulater at upull it for $35 was good enough for me. Alternator chacked out good at NAPN. three I bought the truck from original owner and I know the family and truck history back to new. Rich
