bed crossmember repair
I was just wondering if anyone has replaced rotted bed crossmembers with square steel tubing. Up here in WNY rust free beds sell at a premium and I'm not paying 1500 or more plus a paint job. My bed is still in pretty good shape with the exception of the crossmembers. If anyone has used square tubing, what size did you go with? Did you have any trouble getting the body lines to match up with the cab? I'm just looking for some economical ideas. Bed repair and exhaust manifolds are on the list for this coming spring. Thanks for any help
