engine removal question

I have a 1972 camper special with a 390, and I am wondering if I will be able to remove the engine with the exhaust manifolds on, or do I have to remove them. It looks like it will be close to the power brake booster. But I am going to remove the radiator so hopefully I can clear it. Any help would be much appreciated.

We replaced the 390 in my 71 F350 a year ago and I don`t recall any problems with the exhaust manifolds hitting the booster..the rad and fan will have to come off.

I had more of an issue with my heater box than anything when I pulled my 360.

Was it a straight heater box or heater/airconditioner? On my 78 with factory air it was ugly tight and some po has done alot of damage to it.

Lay the headers against the inner fenders, drop in motor and bolt up, piece of cake.

thanks chicken, that did the trick- the universal joint and the long 3/8 extension with a breaker bar got her moving and out!
