just ordered the Rancho quick lifts. Here's to hoping the install isnt a nightmare for a shadetree mechanic like myself.

The install won't be too difficult with the quick lift loaded struts...assuming you got the loaded version that comes with the spring pre-installed.

Remember that you're going to need an alignment as well...and soon.

yeah I know I will need an alignment. I went with the 1.5 over the 2" based on your opinions on here so if i get them on and it needed the 2" Im gonna cry. LOL...according to tracking they should be here tomorrow. I will try to have them on by the weekend and get pics.

here is a before pic.

well crap, i just talked to rancho support, and they said that the 1.5 is intended for 2 wheel drive trucks, and they recommend 2 inch for my truck. i suppose i will return these when they arrive tomorrow and exchange for 2 inch. i guess that means i get to wait a whole freaking week to get them. SIGH.

yeah the 999910 is the right part for our trucks. I know it was confusing cause one site said that the 999909 would give 1.5in of lift, but I had the same deal happen to me. The rancho people said that the 999909 would only be stock height on a 4X4. I think you will be fine with the 2 in lift, certainly looks like you got at least 2 in of rake in that pic.

Which would be better as far as durability and ride, the Bilstein's or the Rancho kit?

I have the Bilstein 5100 front and rear and I am very happy with them. I am also running 275/70/18 BFG All Terrain's and the difference between 285/65/18 and 275/70/18 is the 275's are about 1/2' taller and the 285's are about a 1/2" wider.

Do you have any pics from the front or back instead of from the side? Id like to see how wide the tires look.

Well finally got the truck back together and aligned. and not a moment too soon because we got snow that same day. I will try to get it cleaned up and get some pics soon. Question for you guys with the Rancho's...what ride adjustment level are you using?

I snapped a quick shot while out for lunch today. It's still dirty from the snow, but compared to my original shot earlier in the thread it looks better. I still feel like its not quite 100% level, but then again I havent measured it to be sure. Definitely better though.

and here is what I was driving in...not much for you guys up north but here in the south it's a blizzard haha.
