My Wife's Christmas Present

My Wife's Christmas Present
Hi, guys. I have been lurking around this website for years. I started out with a 95 F150, then jumped to a 95 F250 power stroke (daily driver), and now I just bought my wife a 2004 Expedition EB. She doesn't know I bought it for her, but to make a long story short, she really wanted this one. However, she thinks the owner sold it to somebody else. She will wake up Christmas morning and see it sitting out in our field.
Any way, its real nice. 69K miles, most all of the EB options except for DVD, and moon roof. Zero dents, runs perfect, shifts perfect, everything works, etc. Right now its parked at my brothers place and I was messing around with it today, and kept finding all kinds of cool features. I discovered the key fobs auto adjust everything. I love that because I am 6'5" and my wife is 5'2", so it will be great to have seats that auto adjust to each others settings. I would like to figure a way to put the OEM DVD system in though. Now that we could sleep in the back, we may have quite a few spur of the moment camping trips, and a DVD player would be nice on cool nights. I also would like to get the satellite radio working too. Her last car had sat and she seems to think she cant live with out it. I have to admit, Its kinda nice. Anybody ever got the factory satellite stuff working?
Well im sure I will be around here and there just asking questions and lurking. I hope this will be a good car for her. I am banking on good reliability. My brother has a 97 and it has 250k on it and he has done absolutely nothing other than a few coil packs, and U-joints.

The Expys weren't shipped with the Sirius brain until 2007. I never understood why the head unit had the SAT button with no way to connect. I couldn't live without Sirius and can't live with wires running all over te place in my 05 EB, so I invested in the OEM components. Cost my nearly 500 bones back in 2007. Maybe less expensive these days, who knows. Money well spent, though. Sound quality is great. Only gripe is the display. There is only one line of text so the station displays by default with no way to customize.

my wife and i both love her '04. we are not married to Ford by any means but the expie was better than anything else we test drove when it came down to features, and have only had minor problems i was able to fix myself for cheap or free. before i got the truck in my sig it pulled our 24' race trailer like a champ too!
