Interesting Stats-'74 F350 from my Marti Report
Hi All- I just got my "Elite" Marti Report (that was ordered in February of this year as a B'day gift) for my 1974 F350 Super Camper Special, XLT and thought I'd share some of the stats in case some of it applies to you:
688,136 Ford trucks built in 1974
11,276 of them were F350's
3252 of these had 460's and all 460's had C6 transmission
5708 of the F350's built had the SUPER camper package
298 of the F350's had the Sequoia Brown and Wimbledon White tu-tone.
The rest of the report breaks it down specific to my truck VIN. It's kind of cool and came with the window/build sheet, metal VIN tag, a report with dates and statistics for all F350's as well as stats that break down my specific VIN. It has a nice frame, matting in Ford Blue, with glass cover.

Marti's F350 figures are also incorrect. Marti himself doesn't look up any of this jazz, his minions do, all he does is sign the report.
1974 F350 production figures (all 2WD only) from R. L. Polk & Co., that has kept these records for the entire auto industry since the 1920's:
Open Drive-Away Chassis & Cowl: 144 / Platform (Flat Bed): 786 / Super Cab Pickup: 1,340 / Platform & Rack (Stake Bed): 7,546 / Styleside Pickup: 9,929 / Cab & Chassis: 48,812
No further figures available. When you consider that only 9,929 Stylesides were assembled, I would assume that the 140" wheelbase production figure of 5,708 S/CS's to be incorrect.
And don't forget, the 140" wheelbase also applies to Regular Cab Trailer Specials.
If you wanted your specific VIN and all the codes on the Warranty Plate decoded, I woulda done it...for free!

F350 Stylesides
All "Styleside" f350's were 140 wheelbase, period. 73-79. Production was around 10,000 units each year until 78-79. About half were ordered as camper special each year.....The Henry Ford Archives.
The "One Ton" top GVWR was an optional on these models. It was 9500-10000 over the span of production. The 79 was king with the highest payload of 5375 at 9900 gvwr.
These were highest payload regular pickups ever made TO THIS DAY.
They had a multi spring overload pack and SS ford wheels.

Whoever at Marti came up with this total production figure...goofed, total calender year production of all types/series was 1,028,507. I can break this figure down further to specific series/models if you wish.

Yikes. Doesn't sound like it's worth the money to me then, if he can't get his stuff accurate

H = 351M (8 valve cover bolts per side).
U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant.
DE0868 = 1979.
460 has 7 valve cover bolts per side. The 460 engine mounting parts are completely different than the 351M/400.
There were several different F350 Camper Specials. What is the wheelbase?
