Lifts and 33s

Looking into stuffing some 33"s on my 92 2wd. Will a leveling kit work or will I just have to go with a 4in lift. Can you guys post some pics?

Dont have any pics but with a leveling kit you should be able to fit 33's and maybe even squeeze some 35's in there.

If its a 2wd you probably have 3:08 or maybe3:55 gearing. Your gunna loose a lot of power if its the 3:08 with 33's I know my 3:55 with 33's had quite the power loss. Still drivable with 33's and 3:55 but don't plan on towing anything.

You will not need more than a leveling kit, but you wont like it very long without a real lift. You will have to space the front bumper out as well as accept a much larger turning radius due to rubbing if they are wide in any way. Here is my truck, a 4WD that sits higher from the factory, with a 4 inch lift on 33's:

Looking at that you can probably figure what your truck will look like sitting 4 inches lower... I wouldn't recommend it.

As far as gearing goes, I have 3.55's as well. Like Midnight said, they aren't too bad until you throw a load behind it.

I would go with 4.10 gears with 33"s. Esp if you go with 33x12.50 tires

Well, it depends on if you have your heart set on the 33's. If you dont mind downsizing, i had a set of 31's on my truck. no lift, nothing, just put em on n go. but i will say a leveling kit would make it look nicer.

I also have 3.55 gears and it is a pain in reverse and first gear. I have to slip the clutch quite a bit. But overall its driveable and on some hills i have to downshift

Here is my truck leveled with 35's. 35x12.5xr15 Mud kings on 15x10 rims

It did not scrub on the body just on the radius arms.

Later I lifted more ( 8" front, 6" rear) and still on 35's but going with 39.5's very soon.

First pic is 2" front spring spacers and added 2" rear blocks with 33's just had to space bumper out 1/2".

Second pic is the 2" lift and 3" bodylift. But that is on a 4wd
