Have been hearing what kind of sounded like an exhaust leak on my '00 Excursion V10 for a couple weeks now. Thought I'd check it out whenever I finally get a day off work. After cruising thru the spark plug blowout threads yesterday I thought I better check mine ASAP. Tore into it last night after work and #4 was loose and leaking by and causing the noise. New plugs, antisiezed and torqued to 20ft lbs. Sure beats installing an insert. Thanks guys.

give it a few months worth of driving and check that plug hole again..

just to be sure there werent no thread damage..
