Yes, but the OEM has to undergo safety tests from the factory, the aftermarket don't

05-07 Front end

Contact my brother Kory at superdutytrucks He should have everything in stock, all oem parts.

Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Profile: superdutytrucks

He has most of those parts new and some used, the bumper is the really expensive part of this conversion.

I have most of the parts my self in stock except the fender to convert to the 2008 -2010 model trucks all oem. I have OEM front bumper, hood, headlights and a few other parts.

I was just coming on here to ask the group what my 05 bumper is worth.
Have a big bumper now so I don't need the oem one. Unfortunately it is AZ Beige.

Could you let me know an aproximate price for parts to convert to the 08 onwards front end? (hood, fenders, grill, chrome bumper, header panel) plus any other parts I'd need? Headlights and grill I could use aftermarket or OEM, but the other parts I'd prefer OEM. I know if I spend the money on the 05 front, I'll only want the 08 at a later time!

There is a thread either on this or the Superduty list of as guy that did it his truck. It is very involved, as it requires an entire header panel, fenders, hood grille bumper the you have to cut the front frame horns and lower them and he still had to shim the fenders a lot. Another site showed that he actually changed the inner fender panels too from the firewall out. It is a fairly extensive mod. It is not as simple as the 05-07 mod...

I have been collecting parts to get ready for an 05 change over on the 2000 Excursion. But I have to put the factory 05 bumper back on my 05 to sell, and then Ill have the Road Armor bumper (made for an 05) to go on the 2000. I have a set of 05 Harley headlights, and an 05 Harley grille.

The later conversion looks kinda cool, but what a pain...

Good luck!

Garry

I saw a thread somewhere on here showing how it was done (probably the same one?) and although it is a lot of work, I'm lucky the guys our tractor truck workshop could do all the work for me and I wouldn't have to pay any extra as they could just fit it in around working on the trucks........and I could get the hood and fenders painted for next to nothing too at the paint shop that paints our trucks (they owe me a few favours now ) The killer for me is the shipping - obviously the 05 lights and grill aren't heavy and can be shipped easily...........but its a different story with bumper and hood - So I could do with a price just on parts to see if it's going to cost a fortune, or if it's not too bad, I'll hold off on buying the 05 grill and lights

I had made up my mind in the week to just order the 05 parts, until I watched an episode of Swamp Loggers, and one of the guys has a white F250 08 onwards, and it looks awesome with the chrome bumper and grill

Exclamation

Seems to me base on what you telling us you have everything under control and I am assuming you are not going sell your truck in future and down time is not a issue which is great
But – I being buying selling cars for last 30+ these are my toughs to other member’s:
• Stay away from body and Frame conversion.
• Engine modification you can do all you want.
• You like any new body style, sell your truck, and get the body style you want.

• The new conversation would no increase the resell value of your Truck., although may make it look good, but may effect your drive train and safety
• In case you need to sell your truck, limit’s # of Buyers
• In Texas you have to disclose any and all Frame work,,,,
• But if you are going do it, get it down with shop they have done and doing these type work and this is not their first experience and able to issue written warranty on their work.
