When I did that it helped get the air out since engine spins faster and it put less stress on the starter

its also normal for it to gurgle, that is the air escaping
I've already done that when I replaced the injectors last month. It'll just be air in the lines from replacing the fuel system, banjo bolts and the hpx.

IPR WTF moment!

So I figured I had the part lying around in my box of goodies, and so I replaced my IPR the other weekend. Mind you, the truck still isn't running while all this modding is going on, but the thing that baffles me, is the IPR I pulled was a non-edge filter IPR. The truck is a 94.5, and to my knowledge, has the OE cover on it. The one I replace it with was the correct IPR.

Replaced the ICP too.

What I would like to know is, would this have caused my original no-start, and rough running conditions? The PO had no idea what he was doing if he replaced the part himself, but the truck did run with it in there at one point. But it could have been the injectors too, they were pretty bad when I pulled them. Hard to tell with the massive fuel leak though.

Anyway, deleted pedestal, wicked wheel, and bellowed up-pipes coming from clay, should be here next week, should have my E-fuel just about done by then, and to finish the turbo rebuild and attempt to start after this long hiatus from seeing pavement.

Yes, correct! Not that other kind of 'glowing'! I should be more careful of my wording, lol.

Getting close! I am hoping for you that it fires right up and sounds Bad azz. As far as the IPR, it doesn't matter which one you use. I have a 97 in my 95. Bill does the same and has for awhile.

Really? I've read conflicting reports about the front cover being the main reason I couldn't drop the 97 hpop into the truck unless I had a 96+ front cover on it. It had to do with the anti drainback function ofthe check valve in the cover.

Bill, I could use your input on this. Other than the fuel, none of my oil rail plugs or HPO lines are leaking. I had oil in the passenger rear fuel banjo, but I'm pretty sure that's from when I pulled that injector and it drained the oil rail into that cylinder.

I can't wait either. I'm hoping I hear life again. So I can move onto other aspects of my build that require my attention.

haha!! The glowing of a reborn 7.3 if that's what you mean! She's cooking in the oven right now!

The fire of life will be rewarding for sure. Can't seem to do multi quote on my phone, but oh well.

Got the new carrier housing for the snail, rest of the parts won't be here until Tuesday, but that gives me plenty of time to derust, and paint the cold side while I'm waiting!

Wait, I had a wallet?! Haha, I'm not burning money, I prefer the term, "investing all this dang money into my truck" excuse to keep my checking account happy!

Sorry for the confusion. I am talking about the IPR only. The info you received on the HPOP is correct, but any IPR will work.
